Chris Brown Weighs In On Ray Rice Situation, And His Advice Is Actually Good (Video)
Chris Brown is probably the last person you would think should be handing out advice when it comes to domestic abuse. I mean, this is a guy who tried to throw Rihanna from a moving car.
But Brown recently sat down with Sway from MTV and shared his thoughts on the Ray Rice situation. Surprisingly, Brown actually had some level-headed words of wisdom.
I think it’s all about the choices you make. With me, I deal with a lot of anger issues from my past – not knowing how to express myself verbally and at the same time not knowing how to cope with my emotions and deal with them and understand what they are. So I think help is great. I still talk to my therapist twice a week, and it helps me.
It’s great to see that Brown is seeking help for his issues and that he is able to talk about them so candidly. It doesn’t absolve him of his past transgressions, but it’s a start.
Brown continued by saying,
To Ray, or anybody else — because I’m not better than the next man — I can just say I’ve been down that road. I deal with situations and I’ve made my mistakes too, but it’s all about how you push forward and how you control yourself.
I never thought I’d say this, but those are some wise words, Chris Brown. It would behoove Ray Rice to listen to them.
